Under the direction of the Associate Dean for Development and Alumni Relations, provide strategic leadership for the College's Development Office. Manage a team of development professionals to achieve the College's fundraising goals. Work closely with deans, department heads and senior faculty to formulate fundraising strategies and goals and manage alumni stewardship. Liaise with UDAR to align College's fundraising goals with university goals.
Bachelor's degree and
7 to 10 years progressively responsible not for profit development/fundraising or alumni relations experience or equivalent combination. Must include experience with managing a team, planning and managing high-profile special events.
Fundraising experience higher education or health care.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Proven ability to fundraise and to take leadership role over all development, alumni activities, and special events. Demonstrated ability to meet fundraising goals and effectively interact with donor prospects. Strong strategic planning and management skills. Must be highly persuasive with excellent communications and interpersonal skills. Must have excellent written and verbal skills with capacity to create compelling case statements to support the Colleges Development short and long term strategies.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Knowledge of the dental profession; familiarity with dental education.
